Since 1942, when Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı began to produce D-Vital, a vitamin compound he developed in his own laboratory, the Eczacıbaşı Group's healthcare operations have been at the vanguard of an integrated approach to healthcare in Turkey with a continually expanding portfolio. Eczacıbaşı established Turkey’s first modern pharmaceutical plant in 1952, and over the next half century contributed to the development of Turkey's pharmaceutical and active ingredient industries. In 2007, the Eczacıbaşı Group transferred its manufacturing operations to Zentiva and expanded into new product and service fields. In line with this growth strategy, Eczacıbaşı is strengthening its presence in nuclear medicine while continuing to offer products that target good health and treat chronic diseases.
Going forward, Eczacıbaşı's healthcare business is turning its focus to products manufactured with advanced technology.
