Eczacıbaşı Information and Communication Technologies (Eczacıbaşı ICT), the information technology subsidiary of the Eczacıbaşı Group, has received R&D Center registration from the Ministry of Industry and Technology. Eczacıbaşı ICT's R&D Center is the fifth R&D center established by the Eczacıbaşı Group. It will primarily focus on developing smart and mobile solutions, with a special emphasis on artificial intelligence and data.

With over 34 years of experience across more than 20 sectors, Eczacıbaşı ICT serves both Eczacıbaşı Group organizations and non-Group organizations as a provider of software, consultancy, service, and support services for information technologies. In January 2024, Eczacıbaşı ICT achieved an important milestone by obtaining approval to become an R&D center. Eczacıbaşı ICT’s R&D center will focus on productizing smart solutions for environmentally friendly and sustainable projects, with a particular emphasis on artificial intelligence and data.

With a team of data scientists and engineers dedicated to developing competitive products for emerging technologies, Eczacıbaşı ICT has become an attractive destination for scientists and engineers in this field. It earned the R&D center registration by submitting five projects to the Ministry of Industry and Technology, covering areas such as optimization, efficiency, digitalization, and artificial intelligence. In the upcoming period, Eczacıbaşı ICT aims to gain a competitive edge in the international arena through innovation-driven growth while contributing to the IT sector and Türkiye as a whole by undertaking innovative smart technology projects. Eczacıbaşı ICT plays a significant role in the IT sector by fostering knowledge transfer and developing innovative solutions through collaborations with universities such as Boğaziçi University, Istanbul Technical University, Marmara University, and Eskişehir Technical University. Moving forward, Eczacıbaşı ICT will continue to create value for the sector by developing innovation-oriented products in the fields of application development, data science, data engineering, and artificial intelligence. In addition to the informatics R&D center, Eczacıbaşı Group has three other R&D centers dedicated to developing original R&D projects in the fields of consumer products, health, and natural resources. Additionally, there is one R&D center that operates as an innovation center specifically focused on ceramic sanitary ware. As of the end of 2023, the Group has obtained 150 registered patents in its main business areas, with 24 of them being international patents.
