We have been supporteding the work of Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts (İKSV) since its it was establishedment in 1973 on the initiative of Dr. Nejat F. Eczacıbaşı with the aim of to enriching the cultural and artistic life of Istanbul by embracing art enthusiasts in the stimulating and welcoming atmosphere of festivals.
As the Founding Sponsor, we support İKSV in regularly organising the Istanbul Festivals of Music, Film, Theatre, and Jazz, Istanbul Biennial, Leyla Gencer Voice Competition, and Filmekimi. İKSV also hosts events across various disciplines at Salon İKSV, located in the Nejat Eczacıbaşı Building, and offers a creative events programme for children and young people at İKSV Alt Kat.
At La Biennale di Venezia, İKSV prepares the Türkiye Pavilion for the International Art and Architecture Exhibitions on a rotating basis. Through reports and workshops, it contributes to the development of inclusive and participatory cultural policies; supports cultural and artistic production through awards and funds; and offers learning, training, and artist residency programmes. The foundation also works to enhance access to and participation in culture and the arts through initiatives such as the Eczacıbaşı Youth Ticket.
Since its establishment in 1973, İKSV has welcomed 12 million people to its events, and through the Eczacıbaşı Youth Ticket, it has reached close to 120,000 students since 2022.
