VitrA receives an Excellence Award from Japan
First ceramic sanitary ware producer in Europe to receive this award!
Eczacıbaşı Building Products' flagship brand VitrA has received a TPM Excellence Award from the Japan Institute of Planned Maintenance (JIPM).
VitrA began to implement Total Productivity Maintenance (TPM) management techniques in 2015 at its Bozüyük ceramic sanitary ware plant, later extending these activities to encompass all its facilities. Through TPM, VitrA aims to achieve zero production errors, further improve quality and business processes, and raise the bar for quality standards in its industry.
Eczacıbaşı Building Products CEO Özgen Özkan announced the award and said, “Quality is not something we talk about all the time because it's a value that's embedded in our corporate DNA and a natural reflex. By nature, we evaluate the quality implications of every action, so I wholeheartedly congratulate every VitrA employee for this TPM Excellence Award, which certifies our performance in this area according to international standards."
TPM Excellence Award
JIPM established its Total Productivity Maintenance Excellence Awards in 1964. Companies applying for these awards are evaluated on their success in improving manufacturing productivity and quality, improving work processes, lowering occupational accidents and production errors to zero, reducing stocks, improving delivery performance and more. In its review, JIPM looks at the company's record in achieving targets, whether TPM techniques are distributed evenly throughout all processes, employee engagement and participation in related efforts, and the consistency of practices.
